Minesweeper expert: 99 mines on 30×16
Minesweeper expert is the full 30×16 board with 99 mines, the size players race on. The first click always opens an empty area, and you can switch on no-guess boards in Settings. No app, no sign-up and no interstitial before play; it works offline, zooms on phones and can be played entirely from the keyboard.
How to play Minesweeper expert
- Open any cell. It and its eight neighbours are always free of mines.
- Each number counts the mines around it; use them to prove which cells are safe.
- Flag mines with a right-click, F, a long press or Flag mode.
- Chord by clicking a satisfied number to open all its other neighbours at once.
- On a phone, scroll or pinch inside the board, or turn on Zoom for 44 px cells.
- Open all 381 safe cells to win.
Expert Minesweeper strategy
99 mines in 480 cells is about 21 percent, so openings are small and numbers run higher. Expert rewards the same logic as smaller boards, applied faster and with more care about when the logic runs out.
Make the patterns automatic
Read 1-2-1 and 1-2-2-1 along straight walls without working them out, and use the subset comparison for everything else: when one number's hidden cells sit inside another's, the difference tells you whether the extra cells are safe or mines. The hint calls these Single cell and Subset.
Flag and chord for speed
Fast Expert play is a smooth sweep along the edge: flag a proven mine, chord the number next to it, move on. Never flag a guess; a wrong flag turns a chord into a lost game.
Guess well when you must
Plain random Expert boards sometimes contain a true 50/50. Take it early, so a loss costs less time, and compare its odds with a cell away from the open area, where the chance is roughly mines left divided by hidden cells left. Near the end, count: the mine counter often settles the last pocket.
To avoid guesses, set No-guess boards to All levels. Expert then finds a logic-only layout for about nine first clicks in ten; the note under the board says which kind you got.
Daily, stats and printables
This page plays the 30×16 board with plain random layouts by default, with times kept apart from the daily.
The timer starts on your first move and pauses when you switch tabs. Stats per board size stay in this browser: played, won, win rate, best and average time.
Undo and Redo cover the whole game, even the first click. The first two hints on a puzzle are free; if ads are switched on later, more hints offer a short ad or a 30-second wait. Wins come with share text, and every random board has a code such as A7K3Q that replays it.
Plays anywhere, no app, no account
On a phone the 30×16 expert board scrolls and pinch-zooms inside its own frame, and the Zoom toggle enlarges cells to 44 px. Tidy Puzzles runs entirely in your browser: there is no app to install, no account to create and no interstitial before you can play. After the first visit the game also works offline, because each puzzle is generated on your device from a seed. Every board can be played with the keyboard alone, on a phone or a desktop, and your stats and unfinished puzzles stay in this browser rather than on a server.
