Solitaire turn 3: the draw three game
Solitaire turn 3 is the traditional, harder Klondike: the stock turns over three cards at a time and only the top one can be played. Each deal is checked by a solver for draw three, undo is unlimited and hints follow a winning line when one is found. No app, no sign-up, no interstitial before play; it works offline and from the keyboard.
How to play draw three solitaire
- The tableau and foundation rules are the same as in every Klondike game.
- Each tap on the stock turns over three cards onto the waste, fanned so you can see them.
- Only the top card of the waste is playable; playing it frees the one beneath.
- The last draw of a pass may be shorter than three cards.
- When the stock is empty, tap it to turn the waste over. Passes are unlimited; each costs 20 points.
- When every card is face up, Auto-complete plays the rest.
Turn 3 strategy: working the stock
In Turn 3 you see only every third card on a pass, unless you play from the waste and shift the order. Learning to shift it on purpose is what separates wins from losses.
Why playing from the waste changes everything
With 24 cards in the stock and no waste plays, the same eight cards come to the top pass after pass. Every card you take from the waste moves all later cards one step, so different cards come up next time. If a pass shows nothing useful, one waste play, even a dull one, can open the deck up.
Count before you commit
Before you play a waste card, think about what it does to the next pass: the card beneath may be exactly what you need, or taking it may push a needed card out of reach. At 20 points per recycle, going through once just to look is fine.
Be even stricter with the tableau
Because stock cards are harder to reach, the tableau must do more of the work. Uncover face-down cards early, keep a landing spot for each colour, and do not send cards up until the tableau no longer needs them.
Use the solver
The deal was checked for draw three, not draw one, so a Winnable mark here means a win exists with three-card draws. Hints show the next move of that line when it is still reachable from your position.
Solitaire turn 3 stats and hints
Turn 3 keeps its own stats: played, won, win rate, best and average time, and best score. The timer starts on your first move and pauses when the page is hidden. Undo is unlimited, the first two hints in each game are free, and a deal's puzzle code replays it with ?p= in the address.
Plays anywhere, no app, no account
The three-card waste fan stays readable on a phone, and the whole game can be played with the arrow keys, Enter, D to draw and F to send a card up. Tidy Puzzles runs entirely in your browser: there is no app to install, no account to create and no interstitial before you can play. After the first visit the game also works offline, because each puzzle is generated on your device from a seed. Every board can be played with the keyboard alone, on a phone or a desktop, and your stats and unfinished puzzles stay in this browser rather than on a server.
